Rose's input

A flower bed edge with fragments of family plates which you feel are too pretty to part with.

Grow hostas in a pot to reduce slug attacking the plants.

For an attractive, but unusual path bury rows of glass bottles bottom side upwards.

Make a water feature from an attractive bowl. Fill with water add some pure lavender oil, some suitable ornaments and shells. You will have an inexpensive water display.

Planters for your garden can be in any shape or form. An old kettle filled with summer flowers makes a dazzling sight.

Garden features are not new these are from The Home Lovers Encyclopedia around 1925.
They could easily be made using bamboo canes and garden twine
